Balloon Chorus is an assemblage of objects: a noisy and moving system. Some objects are glossy and appealing, and others show signs of wear, with flayed rubber skins and bent old tree branches. All are active participants in a mesmerizing choreography. The work is calm, deliberate, critical, and also rather funny.
